Oh my goodness. I love our little boy. This might be something you had to 'be there for' to find the humor in, but here's the story:
We're teaching Daniel some baby signs. 2 fists brought together = more. He learned this incredibly fast as it was being used applied to his puffs. We'd motion. He'd repeat, and he'd immediately be rewarded with more puffs. He got it in minutes. And uses it ALL the time now for more puffs.
A couple days ago he learned to apply it to when he would drop something, if we took too long to pick something up. 2 fists together = i want something please. No longer just 'more', but 'want'.
Boy did that work tonight with Daddy.
Little boy wakes crying in his crib. Daddy shushes him, gives him his pacifier and lays him down. Little boy sits up crying. 2 fists together. 2 fists together. 2 fists together! Daddy picks up little boy and is rewarded with 2 kisses. (little boy gives them to daddy, not the other way around - sweet right?)
Daddy puts the little boy back in the crib and lays him down. Little boy sits up crying. 2 fists together. 2 fists together. 2 fists together!! Daddy picks up little boy and is rewarded with 2 kisses (again little boy giving them to Daddy, not the other way around)
...and where does the little boy end up?
in our bed.
Fast asleep.
Smart boy. :)
