Thank You

Although I know I've mentioned my appreciation here and there, I wanted to take a whole post to REALLY express how thankful we are for the support, WORK and dedication of our family and friends.

I had no idea what we were getting into when we started working on our house...and it was probably a good thing, because had I known the amount of blood, sweat and tears (as Cec so nicely put it), I'm not sure I would have begun in the first place. But it was a process, and it was an enjoyable process, a bonding process, an educational process, and a process we won't ever forget. (nor i think will it ever end)

...and also a process that would have been completely unbearable, and perhaps even unachievable without the help of many of you.

So here's some pictures of my Thank Yous and what I'm grateful for...

Delivered meals, that were not only SOO yummy and way better than what Rye and I cook, they helped us keep going so we didn't expire and pass out -

(hee hee...and spoiled stacy & ryan received way more than this, but these were a couple of our delivered dinner pictures i found...even granny helped out, check out her yummy stew!)

Tireless workers...

And lastly the camaraderie and emotional support (even via e-mail or phone)...blood, sweat and tears, lots of laughter, grimaces and smiles...it all helped to make our house a home. :)

So on our last big push weekend, before the move we had our 'volunteer workers' sign our countertop base...

Thanks so much to all of you who helped to make our house a home.

With deep and sincere appreciation,
stace

we're in!!

We're IN and we're LOVING it. It's our own home and we LOVE that so many of you helped make it what it is. It's old, it's got cracks, and your typical Hawaii visiting roaches and geckos...but we're really happy, and I think it's totally Ryan-and-I.

With the hoopla and craziness of the panic before the move, the packing and unpacking, and no internet I haven't posted recently...so here's a couple of pictures from the weeks prior.

Hmm...scratch that. Just pics of the move for now. :) Was going to post more of the weeks prior renovations, but better get back to unpacking!

Home is where the heart is.

Love,

distractions

Fever yesterday, tsunami warning tonight...these are NOT helping the progress of my packing.

Stopping my box packing and now packing an overnight bag to sleep over at the Miyashiros. Hoping for Hawaii that this will be a false alarm. The sirens blaring outside don't help anxiety levels. :)

(hee hee...course you can tell since i'm stopping to blog that obviously my anxiety levels aren't THAT high)

hoping aren't boxes won't be floating tomorrow and you don't find me surfing into the city,

dedication take two

Dedication is working for 6.5 hours without a toilet even if you need to pee, and working till you can't take it anymore at 11pm. (being a boy at this point is much more advantageous-stupid Ryan)

coming together

It's coming together!!!! Exhausted, but it's coming together!!!

Floors are just about done, and they're BEAUTIFUL. Painting is almost complete, just one more room to go. (well a big room, the kitchen-sigh) But the colors of all the other rooms and the wood of the floor go together so well, we're really excited!!!

It was an 'early' night tonight got home at 9, so we actually cooked. TRYING to be healthy and stay within our diet because.....

We also got our IVF schedule!!!! It's ALL coming together!!!

Have been on Oral Contraceptives for 17 days now, since we had gotten a call that the genetics profile was going well...and last week they completed it! We're set to go! I'm on OCPs for another 3 weeks, and we have our first appt, an 'injection class' on 3/17. My daily shots will begin 3/21. Just in time for us to be settled in the house. :)

Day off tomorrow, thank heavens, for acupuncture.

If things weren't busy before, they're about to get busier! Who needs down time?

I think it's over rated. ;)
