we've arrived

and so after a tearful parting with cec, an easy pass through check-in and security (first class has special lines), more tears in the waiting area, a champagne toast (again, first class is special), more tears at take-off, a three course meal (including prosciutto wrapped asparagus and a cheese plate)...we've arrived.

it was incredibly hard and emotional to leave seattle...but we're here. and we're happy. and after hugging my dad for the first time and seeing my grandmother's smile, i knew what i've known all along, that while difficult, this is where we want to be.
